I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. The hotel itself is beautiful and modern, with attention to detail in every corner. The location, although a bit outside, is actually a plus as it provides a peaceful escape from the busy downtown area. The value for money is outstanding, with rooms that offer more comfort and amenities than many hostel beds. Plus, having breakfast included was a great perk!
I couldn't find anything to fault during my stay. Perfect!

The staff and Hak himself. He rang up bus companies for us so he could arrange a free tuk tuk from the bus stop to the hotel. Also custom made us an itinerary based on how long we had there and what we wanted to see, then arranged for taxis the whole time at a great price - zero stress for us! Nice food n atmosphere too.
Air con in all of the rooms and tvs would be good. But not a major problem as fans are good and a communal tv downstairs makes up for it.

I had a truly enjoyable stay at this hotel. the location in a quiet neighborhood made it the perfect retreat away from the busy town center. It's also conveniently close to the temples, allowing for easy exploration. Secondly, the attentive staff and their excellent service really stood out. They were friendly and always went the extra mile to ensure my comfort. Lastly, the rooms were surprisingly affordable, providing basic amenities that surpassed even some hostel beds. Plus, having breakfast included in the price was a definite bonus.
All in all, my stay at this hotel was fantastic and I couldn't find any faults.

Highly recommended. Family run, who make you feel like part of their family. The whole family made my stay very comfortable and helped me with all my needs. The room is clean and big as well (more look like hotel than backpacker inn). Really have a nice experiences there. So much of fun~ Love the service and environment there. Worth it for USD12 per nite (AC room + breakfast + free pick up at bus station)

The hotel provided excellent value for money with rooms priced even lower than some hostel beds. Additionally, the attentive staff and basic amenities made for a comfortable stay. The included breakfast was a great start to the day.
Although there was room for improvement in one aspect, everything else was satisfactory.

This is the single best guesthouse/hostel I've ever visited. It's cheap, homely, clean, safe, beautiful, interesting, offers great service, and is wonderful. If you have the opportunity to stay here, do not pass it up for another guesthouse. Great service, attentive staff, excellent food and location. Spacious and very clean rooms. The guest house is located away from all noises, although it is not really far from the busy centre (walking distance). They offer free bikes and WiFi too.

Loved the hospitable staff and their endless efforts to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. The breakfast was a stellar spread with eggs, juicy fruits, and coffee which kept us going till lunchtime. The serene and peaceful ambiance coupled with the refreshing pool allayed our tiredness and exhaustion.
Although the hotel is a bit far from the city center, we didn't mind much as we had planned to stay away from the hustle-bustle. However, the tuk-tuk rides were $2 per way, which could be a little expensive if you're traveling on a tight budget.

Very nice clean modern hotel. Staff are excellent, wonderful people. Location is only a 2 minute tuk tuk ride from the centre of town which only cost $1. Would definitely stay there again, and have made some wonderful friends. They also help us me arrange the bus tickets from Siem Reap to Battambang as well for a good price and the bus is good as well. Happy Stay at Hak's Hotel

In September, 2011, I stay for a week. I enjoy my stay at the Hak's House. Hak run his business very well, and his staff are very attentive as well. The room I stayed had a Queen-size bed, shower, and a/C. Even after 26 km-bicycle ride temple hopping, I was ready to ride again the next day.I Highly recommend this place for a budget traveler seeking some modern amenities.
The shower room leaked a little.

Spacious and colorful bedrooms with quirky architecture.

This guest house is excellent value for money place. The staff is very friendly and helpful, readily available at any time of the day, and can answer any questions and provide any help. The facilities are also good - you have a cable TV and free wifi, breakfast included, free water refill, free bicycle rental, clean room and toilet/shower, that are actually fully functional. :) Hak has also recommended us a tuk-tuk driver, who was also very helpful. His name is David, ask Hak for him. He has never overcharged us, easy going and helpful guy. Highly recommended!
To get to the city area you have to walk about 15 min along a dusty road, but you can rent a bicycle from Hak. It's for free.
